We’ve yet to receive the full schedule from the NBA but we now have confirmation about what the first few days of the season will look like for LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and the defending champion Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers will receive their NBA championship rings on opening night, Dec. 22, against the Los Angeles Clippers, as the Lakers are appropriately listed as the home team for their first game of the season against the Clippers after having won the championship.

As for the Lakers’ second game of the season, they will of course be featured on Christmas Day but instead of facing the Clippers, fans across the country will be treated to a showdown between LeBron James and Dallas’ superstar Luka Doncic.
